I'm looking forward to reading them (I found out my library has them - Yes!) And at 25 cents.. What a steal!hmdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13424022504830645523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356966849272755180.post-33722247516178480252009-05-06T09:03:00.000-07:002009-05-06T09:03:00.000-07:00I'm almost done with Krakatoa and admit to being s...I'm almost done with Krakatoa and admit to being somewhat disappointed, not as much detail on impact as I expected. I may have been getting it mixed up with a somewhat more sensational book about an earlier explosion (Catastrophe by Keys). Does make you think about the world environment and geological mechanics are reflected in a single event and how longterm global economy/politics are affected in turn.<br /> Also have been skimming two Tightwad Gazette books that I picked up at a yardsale for a quarter each (these are the first books later compiled in The Complete TG) and gleaning a few waste not ideas therefrom.SusanBnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356966849272755180.post-51842372799998570232009-05-06T07:26:00.000-07:002009-05-06T07:26:00.000-07:00Love the photo. Also, picked up Seed People which Purloined Letter recommended. It's about a community garden (I believe) where people of all ages and backgrounds come together. Haven't cracked the cover but I believe that's what its about.Green Beanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03133847111288382381noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356966849272755180.post-49042700933008696172009-05-05T06:15:00.000-07:002009-05-05T06:15:00.000-07:00Donna - That's a shame. I get as much out of the negative reviews as I do the positive ones. Just my 2 cents :)hmdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13424022504830645523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3356966849272755180.post-7116613912783025642009-05-04T20:45:00.000-07:002009-05-04T20:45:00.000-07:00Beautiful tomatoes!
