Monday roundup

I hope this Monday finds everyone well. I’ve been battling a cold for the past week. Sigh. But my cold has a silver lining in that I’ve had a lot of time when all I’ve wanted was to curl up with a book! I’ve just finished "Big-Box Swindle" and I’m hoping to get a review up tomorrow. Interesting book.

So what about you? What have you been reading? Or reviewing? Please drop us a comment and let us know.

I just finished David Suzuki's 'The Sacred Balance'- expanded and updated edition last night. David Suzuki is well known here in Canada and I had high expectations for this book... some of which fell short unfortunately. However, I am definitely going to be reading another of his books. His life's work has just been so fabulous and inspiring. :)

Also- I am so glad to have found your site! The reviews have been very helpful and informative as my fiancé and I are voracious readers :)

Blessings!

I just started a book called "Blythe Tomato." It's a light read with chapter after chapter of stories told by a farmers' market vendor on how he sees the world. Totally cool!

Gorgeous photo, Donna. I'm interested to hear your thoughts on BBS - whatever they may be. And MAN but you are a fast reader.

I took Alline's advice from last week and checked out Refuge by Terry Tempest Williams. Then I read 85% of it in one sitting. What luxury. I completely enjoyed it, obviously, and hope to get a review up soon - that is unless I find another great book.

I'm reading a book on green businesses for my next review. A little dry, but I'm searching for new reads on the hot topics shelves that might be good for review.

Eco Yogini: So happy you've found our site! Please let us know when you post your own reviews if you'd like us to link to them. :)

Heather: What a funny title! It sounds good. I just checked and our library doesn't have it, so I guess I'll just have to keep an eye out.

Green Bean: Thanks -- it's last year's tulips because ours aren't blooming, yet. My BBS review is going up tomorrow. It's easy to be a fast reader when all you want to do is curl up on the couch and read. Thanks for your review -- it hooked me good!

kale: Sounds like you've found another winner. :) I'll look forward to your review.

going crunchy: Well, it's not about green businesses (rather, the opposite!), but you might want to check out Big Box Swindle!
