I want to know if the books we talk about here are making it as gifts to friends and family, non-profit organizations or even gifts to ourselves.
For two seconds I considered gifting my copy of Animal, Vegetable, Miracle to a family member. I couldn't do it but I could buy a copy and wrap it up. It would be a great gift.
Last Child in the Woods may be good for some Mom's I know. I'm considering it (how many more days do I have?).
My Uncle needs a copy of Bottomfeeder and my Aunt a copy of Mountains Beyond Mountains.
I'd like to give each of my girlfriends a copy of An Unreasonable Woman.
Mom is out. She only reads mysteries.
I could go on but I want to know what books are on your list. Give us some ideas.

I've given "Serve God, Save the Planet" and Saving God's Green Earth" to the church library. I hear they've been circulating.
What a great idea for a post! I'm not giving any books this year - mostly because the only adults we're giving to are teachers/husband's coworkers.
BUT I think Three Cups of Tea would be a fantastic gift. It doesn't come off as me pushing the green thing and is a fascinating and astonishingly relevant book.
I am gifting Sharon Astyk's book to some people this year.
I loaned "Animal, Vegetable" to a family member almost a year ago and she hasn't returned it, yet. Definitely give it as a gift. :)

Poor Mom! You could give her a copy of Crimes against Nature or look into the Sneaky Pie Mysteries by Ms. Rita Mae Brown It is a wonderful mystery series, while not exactly enviormenatal, she writes about the nature around her and the animals in the stories talk to each other. Sounds sappy, but I love the series. Ms. Brown is a great writer.
I don't have specific titles yet, but I love giving "used" books for the holidays.
I'm putting together a gift basket of books for my Mom that I think she would like. Mostly juvenile chapter book titles that she didn't read growing up because she was in too poor of a town for a Library.
Hum.....I smell a post coming on.
At least the "used" and "recycled" idea is Green if not the titles.

BTW - Our library went to part time a few years ago and we live in a wealthy community. I'm not sure how that happens but here we are.
